Legal Assistant

Oliver & Co. is looking for an experienced full-time conveyancer to join our team. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience in real estate conveyancing. Salary is competitive and will range from $48,000-$60,000 per year based on experience. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within our firm.


  • Assembling and preparing documents for residential conveyances.

  • Assisting with commercial acquisitions and sales of both raw land and existing real estate projects.

  • Preparation of purchase and financing documents for commercial acquisitions.

  • Correspond with clients, solicitors, conveyancers, mortgage brokers and real estate agents.

  • Dealing with mortgage payouts, searching title charges, and reviewing contracts.

  • Preparing statement of adjustments and reconciliations.

  • Closing transactions including registering with the Land Title Office and PPSA.

  • Reporting and dealing with holdbacks.


  • Minimum 1 year experience working in real estate conveyancing.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Reliable, responsible, self-motivated, willing to take the initiative, and able to function independently.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written.
