Stephen J. Oliver
Steve Oliver joined the firm in 1979 and specializes in civil
litigation, mainly insurance and personal injury litigation acting
for both Plaintiffs and Defendants. He obtained his LL.B. from
University of British Columbia in 1976 and was called to the bar in
1977 and practised from 1976 to 1979 in Prince George, B.C.
While Steve likes to work hard, he also likes to take time off
and enjoys downhill skiing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling in
the winter and canoeing, fishing and mountain biking in the summer.

Steve is married and raised four children in the Cariboo. One of
these is following in his footsteps having obtained a law degree
from Queens University and now practices in downtown Toronto. Steve
has found life in Williams Lake exciting and varied and while he
likes to travel and see new places, his home will always be in
Williams Lake.
Constance Sauter
Connie Sauter joined the firm in 1989 following her call to the
bar. She received her law degree from the University of British
Columbia in 1988. Her preferred areas of practice are family law,
personal injury law and wills and estates.
She is a member of the following professional organizations:
• Canadian Bar Association
• Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and
• Cariboo Bar Association
A native of Alberta, Connie enjoys the natural beauty and friendly
people of the Cariboo, while also enjoys travelling and visiting
other parts of the world. She is also involved in several community
activities including the following:
• supervising lawyer for the Women’s Contact Society’s Advocacy
Program
• participating lawyer with the Western Access to Justice Society’s
Pro Bono clinic
• secretary of the Williams Lake Daybreak Rotary Club
• board member for the Child Development Centre
Gregory Mawson
Gregory Mawson began working with the firm in 2006, and moved to Williams
Lake to join the firm in 2008. A native of Eastern Ontario, he received his law
degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and was called to the bar in 2003.
Greg is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Cariboo Bar Association.
Greg maintains a general practice with emphasis on corporate-commercial, real estate and wills and estates.
Patricia Weber
Patricia Weber is an associate at Oliver and Co. She was called to the bar in 2010 after articling with a law firm that practiced in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. At that firm, she practiced in the areas of criminal, immigration and civil law.
Patricia graduated from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law in 2009. Patricia was an active member of the UVic Association for Women in Law. She also worked as a summer student at Upper Skeena Counselling & Legal Assistance Society located in Hazelton, British Columbia.
Patricia has represented clients in Provincial Court and Supreme Court chambers. At Oliver and Co., she is a member of the litigation team.
In her spare time, Patricia loves to practice yoga, read books selected from the local library, try out new recipes and take camping trips. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Station House Gallery.
The Staff
Oliver & Co. has a well qualified, experienced staff including
full time real estate conveyancers; litigation paralegals; corporate
commercial paralegal; as well as administrative staff, all of whom
combine to make the Firm an efficient productive organization. The
working environment is focussed but at the same time friendly and
relaxed. |
